Australia Offers A Range Of Temporary And Permanent Visas Including:
Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa
The TSS visa allows Australian employers that meet qualifying criteria, to sponsor overseas workers to live and work in Australia on a temporary basis. The visa is designed to allow skilled workers to be employed in Australia by businesses that cannot find the right candidate in the Australian labour market.
In order to be eligible for this visa, your employee must be able to evidence skills or outstanding abilities that will contribute to your business and Australia’s economy as a whole. Your employee’s occupation must also appear on either the Medium and long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) or the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL)
This visa allows your employee to:
Move temporarily to Australia with any eligible secondary applicants (who will be permitted to work and study)
Live and work in Australia for up to two or four years (depending on the occupation)
Be employed in your area of specialisation
If the occupation is on the MLTSSL, to apply for a permanent skilled visa if they wish to remain in Australia indefinitely
The three parts of the TSS application can be processed relatively quickly allowing for an employee to start work in Australia within 3-4 months of instruction.
Permanent Working Visa
The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) allows Australian employers to sponsor skilled workers for a permanent visa to work in their business on a more permanent basis. The employee can be either a highly skilled worker from overseas or a highly skilled temporary resident currently in Australia.
This visa allows your employee to:
Stay in Australia indefinitely
Work and study in Australia
Enrol in Medicare, Australia’s system for health-related care and expenses
Apply for Australian citizenship (if they are eligible)
Sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence
